AP Jewellers Co ("we", "us") is an independent dealer of pre-owned and unworn watches and fine jewellery, with private showrooms in Canary Wharf, London and Business Bay, Dubai. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

• Enquiries and contact: your name, email, phone number, preferred showroom, the pieces you ask about and your message.
• Private viewings: the above, plus your preferred date and time.
• Selling or part-exchanging a watch: details of the watch (brand, model, reference, year, condition, box and papers), your notes and contact details, and, as the sale progresses, our offer, agreed price, inspection and payment dates.
• Newsletter: your email address.
• Private Advisor: the preferences you type in (brand, model, budget, condition, notes). We don't ask for your name here.
• WhatsApp and Instagram: if you message us there, those services handle the conversation under their own privacy policies.
• In the showroom: to complete a purchase or sale we may ask for identification and proof of address, as required by anti-money-laundering law.

• To answer your enquiry, arrange your viewing and keep you updated (performing our agreement with you, or steps you asked for before one).
• To value, inspect and buy your watch, and email you as each stage moves forward (contract).
• To send our newsletter, only if you signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link (consent).
• To suggest pieces from our current collection through the Private Advisor (legitimate interest in helping you find a watch).
• To verify identity, prevent fraud and meet anti-money-laundering, tax and accounting duties (legal obligation).

We never sell your information, and we don't use it for automated decisions with legal effects on you.

Only trusted providers who help us run the business, under contract and only for that purpose:

• our website hosting and secure database provider;
• our email delivery provider, which sends booking, sale and newsletter emails;
• an AI service that processes Private Advisor preferences to produce suggestions;
• insured couriers, banks and payment providers, when a piece is delivered or paid for;
• professional advisers and authorities, where the law requires it.

Some providers are based outside the UK and UAE. Where your data is transferred, we rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

• Enquiries and viewing requests: up to 2 years after our last contact.
• Purchase, sale and identity records: at least 5 years, as anti-money-laundering law requires.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.

Information sent through our forms is stored in a secure database that visitors to the site cannot read.

Under UK GDPR and the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, you can ask us to:

• see a copy of your information;
• correct it, or delete it where we no longer need it;
• restrict or object to how we use it;
• send it to you or another company in a portable format;
• withdraw consent, such as for the newsletter, at any time.

Our site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.
